USBinfo
!USBinfo is a freeware RISC OS application that displays general information about the USB sub-system of your RISC OS computer. Please note that it only supports the Castle USB specification. !USBinfo shows all connected USB devices in a variety of manners and allows you to look inside the device and discover any Interfaces in there. The program will show you the name of the Vendor and Product and a link to their website for additional information. In case of trouble, !USBinfo allows you to reset a single device without disconnecting it.

Looking at your USB devices
There are various ways in which you can look at the USB system. First of all there is the Topology window, shown on the top left. This window shows all devices and their physical connection. This is a live display, which means it will be refreshed if a device is added or removed.

Secondly, there is the Status window, in which all devices are shown in a logical order. This is the order in which the machine has enumerated the devices. Each Device shown may consist of one or more Interfaces. Each Interface may have one or more Endpoints. You may double click on an item to reveal detailed information.

Finally, !USBinfo allows you to save the entire USB structure as a text report which can be viewed in any ASCII text editor. This may be useful when reporting problems or when reporting new devices.
