RISC OS is an operating system that was developed by Acorn in
the UK, especially for computers running on ARM RISC processors,
such as the ARM7500, ARM610, ARM710 and more importantly, the
Intel StrongARM. At present RISC OS is actively being developed
and supported by both Castle Technology Ltd and RISC OS Ltd.

Below a non-exhaustive overview of the various software titles
that are sold and supported by us. Some of the packages have been
developed by ourselves, but most of them are imported from the UK.
If you can't find the software of your choice in the list below,
this doesn't mean that we don't have it in stock; it may just not
be listed yet. Please contact us for further information.

- Internet Suite
A complete set of suitable Internet software, consisting of
DialUp, MessengerPro, WebsterXL and FTPc. A very good replacement
for the ANT Internet Suite.
- ArtWorks
A very good and professional drawing package that is still in use
in many graphical design studios. Although ArtWorks is no longer
actively being supported by it's creators Computer Concepts,
it is still for sale and some very useful plug-ins are constantly
being developed.
- CableNews Professional
A very complete and flexible electronic newspaper with a modular
design approach. Initially developed for the Dutch market, but
currently being used in many sites throughout The Netherlands,
France and The UK. See our cpecial CableNews web pages for more
information.
- Impression Publisher
A very professional DTP package that has been the de facto standard
on the RIC OS platform for many years. Although newer version are
not planned, it is still available.
- MacFS
MacFS is a very useful tool if you want to read and write Apple
media. The full version can be used to read/write Apple floppies
(1,44 MB format), harddiscs (both IDE and SCSI) and CD's (both
ISO 9660 and Apple HFS format). Also available in a Light variant.
- Oregano
A completely new and moders web browser for RISC OS that is actively
being supported and developed. Suitable for many sites that were
previously unavailable with the Fresco borwser. Supports many
modern features, such as tables, frames, java script, plug-ins and SSL.
- Ovation Pro
This is a very professional DTP package with many featues for the
serious publisher and graphical designer. It is being developed
actively and the support is unparalleled on any platform.
- Photodesk
Photodesk is sometimes called the RISC OS variant of PhotoShop.
it can be used to draw and process bit-map images, using RGB,
CMYK, channels, layers, transparency, masking, mathematical
processing, etc. Suitable for many file formats, including Sprite,
TIFF, GIF, JPEG and PhotoShop.
- RISC OS
The operating system of every RISC OS computer.
- RiScript
One of the best release of the past year is probably RiScript.
It's a PostScript interpretor that can read PostScript, EPS and
PDF files and covert them into Draw or PDF. Also very useful for
web publishing. A must for every serious publisher.
- Tracer Professional
A no-noncence bit-map to Draw convertor. Although Tracer only
works on black and white images, the results are stunning and
truely professional.
- Vantage
A new vector based drawing package with many professional
features and a unique colour matching system. EPS files and
be imported and exported as are transparent colours.
Available now!
- TopModel
At the moment en new release of TopModel is being prepaired.
It will offer a new and improved user interface and will be
bundled with many tools. Furthermore the price will be reduced
drasticly. Watch this space...
- Sleuth
A full OCR package (OCR: Optical Character Recognition) for RISC OS.
Serveral versions and upgrades are available.

- AltKeys
A very useful and invisible module (RM) that can be linked to RISC OS,
to allow easy entry of special characters, such as ë, ç, æ, ©, etc.
Supplied with full instructions.
- ConfiX - Universal configuration utility
A free utility that takes the pain out of creating configuration
windows. It is used by most of our own software, but can also be
incorporated with your own software.
- ArtWorks patches
Some patches for ArtWorks, such as a convertor for EPS files that
will allow you to use ArtWorks EPS files on Adobe Illustrator 6.0 and later.
- Enigma Simulator
A realistic simulation under RISC OS of the famous Enigma encryption device,
as used during WWII by the German army.
- USBinfo
A small utility that can be used to view the entire structure
of the USB subsystem on your computer in a graphical manner.
- Serial BlockDrivers
This is the new support page for the serial BlockDrivers as initially
maintained by Hugo Fiennes. The latest release of all available
BlockDrivers can be downloaded here and some 32-bit version are
already available.
- Tools for programmers
A collection of links, programming languages and programs for serious
RISC OS programmers.
- Free software by others
A brief overview of free RISC OS software that is currently available
on the Internet.
- Internet stuff
An overview of the currently available commercial and free Internet
software.
